Some people will do anything to avoid
a lawsuit from Facebook, even legally change their name to Mark Zuckerberg.
That's what entrepreneur Rotem Guez did,
changing his name to that of Facebook's CEO.
Guez had launched 'Like Store', an online
business that sells advertisers "Likes" for their Facebook pages.
Like Store's aim is to increase traffic to the advertisers' Facebook pages by
offering Facebook users free content from the companies' sites.
This is a violation of Facebook's terms of
service and the social network has threatened Guez with a lawsuit over
allegations his company violated Facebook's terms of service.
Guez admits as much, saying many US companies
offer similar services.
So, in an effort to evade a Facebook lawsuit,
he changed his name to Mark Zuckerberg, reasoning that the company won't want
publicity that associates the name Zuckerberg with a lawsuit.
"If you want to sue me, you're going to
have to sue Mark Zuckerberg," Guez said.
