-          A tall and lanky boy from Allahabad, Amitabh Srivastav decided to try his luck in the city of dreams, Mumbai as an actor. After several tries, he got a film, Saat Hindustani and gave it his best shot. But the movie failed miserably. The next string of movies he appeared in bombed at the box office, but he didn’t lose hope. He was determined to make it work and soon he did. He took on the surname Bachchan and Amitabh never looked back thereafter

-          Mahima Chaudhury was a model before she became an actress. She changed her name from Ritu Chaudhry to Mahima Chaudhry since Subhash Ghai has a superstitious belief of launching big careers with actresses whose name start with M.

-          Govinda says that he is himself a numerologist and changed his name from Govind to Govinda and it worked for him to be successful as an actor.

Some people will do anything to avoid a lawsuit from Facebook, even legally change their name to Mark Zuckerberg.
That's what entrepreneur Rotem Guez did, changing his name to that of Facebook's CEO.
Guez had launched 'Like Store', an online business that sells advertisers "Likes" for their Facebook pages. Like Store's aim is to increase traffic to the advertisers' Facebook pages by offering Facebook users free content from the companies' sites.
This is a violation of Facebook's terms of service and the social network has threatened Guez with a lawsuit over allegations his company violated Facebook's terms of service.
Guez admits as much, saying many US companies offer similar services.
So, in an effort to evade a Facebook lawsuit, he changed his name to Mark Zuckerberg, reasoning that the company won't want publicity that associates the name Zuckerberg with a lawsuit.
"If you want to sue me, you're going to have to sue Mark Zuckerberg," Guez said.

What is a tarot card?
The Tarot is a pack off cards, which was initially used as a form game in the mid-15th century. From the late 18th century till now as a means of understanding the future pathways of individuals by mystics and occults.
Tarot reading revolves around the belief that the cards can be used to gain insight into the past, current and possible future situations of the subject. My experience
One week back I tried to understand my current pathway by visiting a tarot card reader. The procedure was simple, I had to have a question in mind, and then select 4 cards from a set of unturned cards. The reader turned the cards and responded to my question basing on the cards. To my surprise, the answer obtained correctly depicted my current state of mind. I further tried to experiment the validity of the reading, I asked questions regarding the part of my personality that many didn’t know, I selected a set of 4 cards, again to my surprise the reader accurately answered.
 I feel that Tarot card reading is highly subjective as the cards chosen is based on probability. “no two times can a person choose the same set of 4 cards for the same question”. I believe it should only be done once in your whole-life.

What is Palmistry
pamistry intro.jpgPalmistry is a branch of ancient science, which deals with the complete study of the palms-prints to get the idea of future events in life. Palmistry is considered as evidence which shows that everyone has a different life as we all have different palm prints. Its practice is not limited to any particular religion but it’s deeply rooted in the customary culture of ancient times.
Many stalwarts in this field of science have worked effectively and are honored internationally. In addition to the mounting and sliding lines on the palm, nails, shape of the fingers, color and surface of the skin over the palm are also seen as the important factors for the judgement.
Palmistry Lines - Palm Lines
All the lines on the palm whether big or small, thin or thick are helpful in determining the speed of the life force of a person. Hence, it is essential for an expert palmist to make a significant study of each line found on the palm. The clear and deep long lines on a palm indicate accomplishment, while the thin, broken and indefinite lines are a handicap for the person. Every person has seven main lines and twelve secondary lines.
The 7 main lines include the life line, head line, heart line, line of Apollo or sun, fate line, health line and marriage line.
Techniques
Chiromancy consists of the practice of evaluating a person's character or future life by "reading" the palm of that person's hand. Various "lines" ("heart line", "life line", etc.) and "mounts" (or bumps) (chirognomy), purportedly suggest interpretations by their relative sizes, qualities, and intersections. In some traditions, readers also examine characteristics of the fingers, fingernails, fingerprints and palmar skin patterns (dermatoglyphics), skin texture and color, shape of the palm, and flexibility of the hand.
A reader usually begins by reading the person's 'dominant hand' (the hand he or she writes with or uses the most)(sometimes considered to represent the conscious mind, whereas the other hand is subconscious). In some traditions of palmistry, the other hand is believed to carry hereditary or family traits, or, depending on the palmist's cosmological beliefs, to convey information about past-life or karmic conditions.
The basic framework for "Classical" palmistry (the most widely taught and practiced tradition) is rooted in Greek mythology. Each area of the palm and fingers is related to a god or goddess, and the features of that area indicate the nature of the corresponding aspect of the subject. For example, the ring finger is associated with the Greek god Apollo; characteristics of the ring finger are tied to the subject's dealings with art, music, aesthetics, fame, wealth, and harmony.
Significance of left hand and right hand
Though there are debates on which hand is better to read from, both have their own significance. It is custom to assume that the left hands shows potential in an individual, and the right showed realized personality. Some sayings about the significance include "The future is shown in the right, the past in the left"; "The left hand is the one we are born with, and the right is what we have made of it"; "The right hand is read for men, while the left is read for women"; "The left is what the gods give you, the right is what you do with it"; "The right hand is read for right-handed people, while the left is read for left-handed people". The choice of hand to read is ultimately up to the instinct and experience of the practitioner.
§  Left The left hand is controlled by the right brain (pattern recognition, relationship understanding), reflects the inner person, the natural self, the anima, and the lateral thinking. It could even be considered to be a part of a person's spiritual and personal development. It is the "yin" of personality (feminine and receptive).
§  Right As opposites are, the right hand is controlled by the left brain (logic, reason, and language), reflects the outer person, objective self, influence of social environment, education, and experience. Numerology is the study of the symbolism of numbers. It is used to determine a person’s personality, strengths and talents, obstacles, inner needs, emotional reactions and ways of dealing with others. The roots of numerology can be traced back some 10,000 years to Egypt and Babylonia. Pythagoras, who developed many of the basic theorems that form the foundation of modern mathematics, is credited with formally organizing the field about 2600 years ago in ancient Greece. At the turn of the 20th century, an American, L. Dow Ballet, along with several contemporaries, initiated the modern phase of numerology. Now, in the 21st century, a marked resurgence of interest in numerology is taking place thanks to an increase in research and publication.
Everything in the universe vibrates at its own particular frequency. By finding the vibration rate of any object, you can establish the qualities and energies associated with it. By applying the principles of numerology -- and using only a name and birth date as the basic data -- you can determine the major frequencies of a person. In numerology, all numbers are reduced to the single digits 1 through 9 except the special master numbers 11 and 22. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 22 represent the major vibration rates associated with people’s characteristics.
The numbers are reduced by simple addition. The number 15, for instance, is reduced by adding 1 + 5 to get 6. Similarly, the number 1974 can be reduced by adding 1 + 9 + 7 + 4 to get 21. The 21 can be further reduced by adding 2 + 1 to get 3.
Letters in individuals’ names are converted to numbers and then added together. These numbers, in turn, are also reduced. The letter A, for instance, is 1; the letter B is 2; the letter C is 3, and so forth. The following table shows the numbers assigned to all 26 letters in the English alphabet.

By applying simple mathematical formulas to the numbers representing a person’s name and birth date, a numerologist can derive four major core elements and some 20 or 30 modifiers.
